Dr. Abdeen Mustafa Omer (BSc, MSc, PhD) is an Associate Researcher at Energy Research Institute (ERI). He obtained both his PhD degree in the Built Environment and Master of Philosophy degree in Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham. He is qualified Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record within the water industry and renewable energy technologies. He has been graduated from University of El Menoufia, Egypt, BSc in Mechanical Engineering. His previous experience involved being a member of the research team at the National Council for Research/Energy Research Institute in Sudan and working director of research and development for National Water Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Sudan. He has been listed in the book WHO’S WHO in the World 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 200 review articles, 15 books and 150 chapters in books.
Abdelaziz Khlaifatis the Head of Petroleum Engineering Department at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic and AD Poly SPE Students Chapter Advisor. Prior to joining AD Poly, Abdelaziz worked as a Research and Development Manager of Dhahran Research Center at Weatherford International (Geoscience Development). Erstwhile, he worked as a Senior Reservoir Engineer, specialized in an unconventional resources (tight and shale gas) at Weatherford Saudi Arabia. Before joining Saudi Arabia office, he worked as a senior reservoir engineer (modeling and simulation) in the reservoir engineering group of the Weatherford Well Engineering Center of Excellence in Dubai.He obtained his BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering (1990) from Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas, Moscow-Russia, Master of Chemical Engineering and PhD in Chemical/Reservoir Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-USA in 1994 and 1998, respectively. Before joining Weatherford, he had held different positions in the academia. In 2009 he was promoted to a full professor of chemical engineering at Mutah University, Jordan.Abdelaziz is actively involved in scientific research and development of novel methodologies and techniques in tight and shale gas reservoirs, shale gas resource development workflow and tight gas staged field experiments. He has authored/coauthored over 80 publications, including journal articles, book chapters and specialized conference proceedings in the areas of flow through porous media, hydrocarbon reservoir engineering, unconventional tight and shale gas, managed pressure drilling, non-aqueous phase Liquid transport, photocatalysis, two phase flow modeling and simulation, and Dead Sea related-research. He is an active member of the SPE, AIChE, JGA, JES, JEA, AHWA and SFERA.

Dr. Alexander Ivlev received his PhD (1968) in the Chemical Technology Institute of Mendeleyev (Moscow) for studies on isotopes separation. The next PhD (1986), he got in the Institute of Chemical Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences for research on biophysical mechanisms in photosynthesizing cell. In 2005 he was awarded the medal of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences “To Author of Scientific Discovery” for establishing link between distribution of carbon isotopes in metabolites and temporal organization of metabolic processes. Since 1971 he worked in the Scientific Research Institute of Oil Prospecting. In 1995 he was invited to be a Professor of Russian State Agrarian University. Here he discovered the carbon isotope effect in photorespiration (1993) and the oscillatory nature of photosynthesis (2004) and began the project “ Global Carbon Cycle”. He is an author of 5 scientific monographs and over 230 publications in Russian and foreign journals.
Dr. Mahmoud Meribout is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Petroleum Institute (PI) in Abu Dhabi. His main research interest is in the area of embedded systems for real-time applications, real-time tomography imaging, sensor systems, and non-conventional enhanced oil recovery using electrical means. He has published numerous articles in patents, renowned refereed journals and conference proceedings. He also delivered several presentations in international conferences and is the author of a few book chapters. Furthermore, he serves as a reviewer for reputable international journals in the area of embedded systems, instrumentation & sensor systems, tomography imaging, and non-conventional enhanced oil recovery. He has received a number of educational and research awards, including NTT’s (Nippon Telephone and Telegraph) best innovative award in the area of hardware design for real-time image processing, while working in NTT, the Best SPE Paper Award in the SPE UAE young professional competition, in addition to several other national awards while supervising undergraduate and graduate students.
Professor Zizi Abdeen is an Egyptian national and a researcher Professor in polymer lab. Petrochemicals dep., Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute. She completed her PhD & M.Sc. degrees in Polymer Chemistry from Ain Shams University, (Egypt), where she also completed her B.Sc., Degree in Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, Cairo University, (Egypt). She main stream research is at the frontier of materials/polymer science and emerging fields such as nanotechnology/nanocomposites. She has a keen interest in the development of intelligent materials based on bio resources such as chitosan and starch through chemical modification and advanced biotechnology processes. He is author of over 33 articles on polymers, biomaterials, hydrogels and nano composites systems and reviewer of over 15 International journals and a member of the Advisory Editorial Board of Polymers and Biomaterials in different International journals. She was sharing as technical committee in more than ten international conferences.
Dr.Burhan Davarciogluis currently an Associate Professor at the Aksaray University. He enters as the Engineer graduated from the Physics. Nuclear Medicine Department in the years 1984-1985 at Hacettepe University, Radiation Physics and Radioisotope Laboratories has participated in the creation work. Works as a Research Fellow (1985-1993) at Gazi University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Physics, in 1987, “Solid-State Lasers” with his M.Sc. thesis, and in 1992, “Some Complex and Clathrates Infra-red Spectroscopy Investigation” of the named Ph.D. thesis completed. Faculty Member appointed as he took active part in the founding, Nigde University in 1994. Hossein Tabatabaei was born in Behbahan, Iran, in 1979. He received the B.E. degree in Geology from the University of Islamic Azad University, Behbahan Branch, Behbahan, Iran, in 2002, and the MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in Sedimentary Rock and Sedimentology from the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, Science and Research Branch, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. In 2007, he joined the Department of Petroleum Engineering, University of Gachsaran, as a Lecturer, and in 2012 became a researcher. Since November 2012, he has been with the Department of Petroleum Engineering, I.A.U Gachsaran Branch, where he was an Assistant Professor. His current research interests include Geochemistry, Petrophysics, Fracture Reservoirs and Stability of well bore. Dr. Tabatabaei is a Top Researcher in Islamic Azad University, Gachsaran Branch (2012). He has provided over 30 M.Sc. theses and several PhD. Theses in Geology and Petroleum science. He has a book on Asphaltene precipitation in oil Reservoirs
Dr. Seema Dhail did her Ph.D in science from Manipal University, India as host and from Bar-Ilan University, Israel as split-site Ph.D research scholar. She is having 6+ years of research experience in multi-disciplinary area. Her main research interest is in the area of In-Silico Drug designing and also in Microbial enhanced oil recovery. She has published 15 research papers in International Journals of high repute. She also delivered several presentations in international conferences and is the author of a few book chapters. Five times she was invited as scientific member as well as chaired the different sessions as session chair in different International conferences from different countries. Furthermore, she serves as a reviewer for international journals in the area of Bioremediation and microbial enhanced oil recovery. She was nominated and selected as best Indian research scholar from India three times for different International scholarships provided by different countries including Israel, South Korea and Italy for doing her research studies.
